Escorts Kubota Expands Horticulture Mechanization Portfolio with NeoStar Compact and Narrow Tractor Series
29 May 2026, Faridabad: Escorts Kubota Limited has announced the introduction of the Kubota NeoStar series, an upgraded range of compact tractors in the 21–30 HP segment. The series covers the 21–27 HP category and includes compact four-wheel-drive tractors designed for horticulture, sugarcane and vineyard applications. The company said the rollout will focus on key horticulture and sugarcane regions in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
The launch builds on Kubota’s compact and narrow tractor portfolio, which the company said serves more than 80,000 customers across India.
Escorts Kubota markets tractors in India under three brands—Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac—serving the premium, entry-premium and value segments respectively. The NeoStar series is positioned within the Kubota brand and targets the growing demand for specialized mechanization in horticulture and inter-row crop operations.
According to the company, the NeoStar range is available in two configurations. The NeoStar Narrow variant, with a width of approximately 2.98 feet, is designed for sugarcane cultivation and narrow inter-row operations. The standard NeoStar model is intended for vineyards, orchards and other applications where maneuverability in confined spaces is required.
A new addition to the portfolio is a 27 HP-category narrow tractor developed for sugarcane fields and intercultural operations. The company stated that all NeoStar models are equipped with power steering and Eco PTO. Other features include a compact design aimed at facilitating operations such as interculture, spraying, haulage and rotavator applications in orchards, vineyards and sugarcane fields.
The company said the tractors are targeted at growers of grapes, sugarcane, pomegranate, banana and mango, as well as vegetable producers, orchard operators and agri-service providers offering spraying, rotavator and loader services. The series is also intended for farmers with landholdings of approximately one to five hectares.
Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, said, “The 21–30 HP compact segment has grown significantly over the last three years and is now a fast-growing part of the Indian tractor market, powered by the rapid mechanization of horticulture. The NeoStar is a premium, application-led Kubota range that helps us capture incremental share in the high-growth horticulture belts of West, South and parts of Central India and to deepen the trust that our customers already place in the Kubota brand.”
Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, said, “Our engineering begins with the understanding of requirements on the field. With the NeoStar series, we are bringing best of Japanese technology, refined over decades in the world’s most demanding orchard and interculture operations, to the Indian horticulture farmer. The Eco PTO, power steering and true narrow-width design are not add-ons; they are the result of precision engineering aimed at giving farmers better farm productivity along with Japanese-grade reliability and durability that lasts season after season.”
Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division, said, “The NeoStar series has been specially engineered around the needs of our horticulture farmers. The NeoStar Narrow 27 HP category variant, with a true width of around 2.98 feet, moves comfortably through narrow sugarcane rows without crop damage where standard tractors cannot operate. The NeoStar series now comes with power steering and Eco PTO across all models for better operator comfort and fuel economy, enabling longer working hours and fuel savings. The compact design and multi-application suitability make Kubota NeoStar suitable for orchard farming operations.”
The Kubota NeoStar series will be available through authorized Kubota dealerships across India.
