Sarlaben AI App is an AI-powered dairy assistant launched by Amul (Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation) to provide personalised information and advisory support to dairy farmers. The platform was launched in February 2026 and is designed to serve more than 36 lakh milk producers across Gujarat, with a particular focus on making digital advisory services accessible to rural and women dairy farmers.

Sarlaben provides guidance on cattle health, feeding, breeding, vaccination schedules, medical treatment, milk production, livestock records, and government schemes and subsidies. The system is integrated with Amul’s existing Automatic Milk Collection System (AMCS) and Pashudhan application, allowing it to use livestock and milk-procurement information for more personalised assistance.

A key feature is its voice-based interface in Gujarati, allowing farmers to access AI assistance through the Amul Farmer app as well as through basic feature phones without requiring a smartphone or app download. This makes Sarlaben particularly relevant to discussions around inclusive digital agriculture and AI adoption in rural India.

The platform is being developed as part of a broader effort to use AI, cooperative data, local-language technology, and digital advisory systems to improve livestock management and farmer access to information. Reports indicate that the technology is also being expanded beyond Gujarat, with plans for multilingual deployment across additional Indian states.
