ADAMA Reports 21% Reduction in Scope 1 & 2 Emissions in 2025 ESG Report; On Track for 2030 Target

(SZSE 000553) has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, aligned with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s newly introduced sustainability reporting guidelines. The report outlines the company’s ESG strategy, operational progress, and risk management approach during the year.
The company reported measurable progress across key sustainability indicators, alongside improved ESG ratings from external agencies including EcoVadis, GreenEye, and Wind ESG Rating, reflecting recognition of its performance improvements.
Environmental Performance
ADAMA recorded a 21% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to its 2024 baseline, maintaining its trajectory toward a 34% reduction target by 2030. The company also reported the complete elimination of coal from all on-site operations, marking a shift in its energy mix.
In waste management, ADAMA achieved 75% recycling and re-use of hazardous waste, reaching this milestone ahead of its planned schedule.
Social Impact and Safety
The company expanded its farmer outreach programs, training more than 680,000 farmers globally on the safe and responsible use of crop protection products.
To strengthen workplace safety and monitoring, ADAMA introduced a global digital Health and Safety system, aimed at improving reporting standards, data accuracy, and operational oversight across its production facilities.
The report also highlighted record levels of female representation, including increased participation in management roles.

Gaël Hili, President and CEO of ADAMA, stated that the company continues to enhance its ESG governance framework with improved processes for risk management, performance tracking, and accountability.
He noted that the 2025 report reflects “tangible progress” across emissions reduction, waste management, and farmer training initiatives, while reaffirming safety as a core operational priority supported by multiple company-wide initiatives.
