ITDFC to Host India–Africa Food Security, Agri Trade & Investment Summit on October 7

Diplomats, government representatives, businesses and agri-food stakeholders from India and Africa to meet in Greater Noida to explore cooperation in agriculture, trade and investment

05 October 2026, New Delhi, India: The International Trade & Delegation Federation of Chambers (ITDFC) will host the India–Africa Food Security, Agri Trade & Investment Summit 2026 on October 7 in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, bringing together diplomats, government representatives, investors, businesses and agricultural stakeholders from India and several African countries.

The summit, being convened under the leadership of Moussa Konate, Africa Convener, and Dr. Prof. Kanhaiya Singh, India Co-Convener, will focus on strengthening India–Africa cooperation in agriculture, food security, trade and investment.

The African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) is the Strategic Partner for the summit, along with other national and international partners.

Held under the theme “Partnering for Prosperity, Nourishing Future Generations,” the summit is expected to see participation from representatives of Burkina Faso, Mali, Gabon, Zambia, Mozambique, Seychelles, Côte d’Ivoire and the Republic of Congo, among other African countries.

Agriculture and Food Security at the Core

Food security and agricultural development will be key areas of discussion, with participants expected to examine opportunities across agricultural trade and market access, seeds, fertilizers, irrigation, soil health, food processing, agri-value chains and agricultural technology.

The discussions will also cover climate-smart agriculture, technology exchange, agricultural innovation and cross-border supply chains, with a focus on strengthening cooperation between institutions and businesses in India and Africa.

The summit comes as both regions seek to strengthen agricultural resilience, improve food systems and expand trade and investment opportunities across the agri-food value chain.

Focus on Trade and Investment

The event will bring together agribusiness companies, food processors, seed and fertilizer companies, irrigation and agri-tech businesses, exporters, importers, investors, research institutions and development organisations.

B2B and B2G interactions are expected to provide participants with opportunities to identify business partners, explore new markets and develop commercial and institutional relationships.

Strengthening India–Africa Cooperation

The summit aims to provide a common platform for diplomatic engagement, policy dialogue, business networking and institutional exchange. Discussions are expected to focus on practical areas where India and African countries can expand collaboration in agriculture, technology, trade and sustainable development.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Syed Areesh Hussain, Chief Executive Officer, ITDFC, said India and Africa have significant opportunities for cooperation across agriculture, food security, technology, trade and investment.

He said the summit is intended to bring stakeholders from both regions together to exchange ideas, develop partnerships and explore practical opportunities for collaboration, with the objective of strengthening connections between institutions, businesses and markets.
