Madhya Pradesh Extends Applications for Paddy Straw Supply Chains Under 2026-27 Scheme

19 August 2026, Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh’s Directorate of Agricultural Engineering has extended the application window for farmers seeking to establish paddy straw supply chains for crop residue management under the 2026-27 programme.

According to a revised notice issued on August 17, farmers can now submit online applications from August 3 to August 24, 2026. The initiative aims to facilitate access to modern agricultural equipment for crop residue management and support the establishment of paddy straw supply chains through bank-linked financing.

The applications are being invited through the state’s agricultural engineering machinery portal. The extension gives eligible farmers additional time to submit their applications under the programme.

Document verification from August 25

Following the application process, verification of applicants’ records will be conducted from August 25 to August 27, 2026, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm at the concerned divisional agricultural engineering offices.

Applicants will therefore need to complete the required document verification within the specified period. The revised notice states that the remaining rules and conditions of the programme will remain unchanged.

Computerised lottery on August 31

Priority lists for eligible applicants will be determined through a computerised lottery. The lottery is scheduled to be conducted on August 31, 2026, at 12:30 pm at the Directorate of Agricultural Engineering in Bhopal.

The priority lists generated through the lottery will subsequently be made available on the Directorate of Agricultural Engineering’s website from 2:00 pm on August 31.

The programme is part of Madhya Pradesh’s efforts to promote mechanised crop residue management and establish supply chains around paddy straw, with the scheme linking access to agricultural machinery with bank-based financing. The revised notification provides farmers additional time to participate in the 2026-27 application process.
