QEMETICA Enters Australia with Agrochemical Business
11 August 2026, Warsaw: QEMETICA, an international chemical group with Polish roots, has entered the Australian agricultural market through its newly established company, QEMETICA Agricultural Solutions Australia. The move marks a new step in the group’s international expansion and is expected to support further growth of its agricultural business across the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2025, the company shipped more than 9 million litres of agricultural products from its manufacturing facility in Nowa Sarzyna, Poland, to markets worldwide, including Asia and South America. The company currently operates across around 40 countries.
“Australia is not just a new market, but a strategic move for the entire Group, which will allow us to diversify our revenues geographically, seasonally and in terms of currency,” said Kamil Majczak, CEO of QEMETICA.
Australia’s agricultural market includes significant production of cereals, which account for around 40% of the local plant protection products market, alongside specialist crops such as fruit, vegetables, grapes and pulses. QEMETICA said its experience in these crop segments, particularly in Spain, Italy and France, will support its expansion in Australia.
The company also sees Australia’s location in the Southern Hemisphere as an opportunity to balance seasonal sales cycles across its international operations.
“Australia is a large, growing agricultural market where we can leverage our expertise in building long-term relationships with local distributors,” said Edgardo Iglesias, Head of QEMETICA Agricultural Solutions. “The reversed agricultural cycles also help optimise seasonality and enhance the efficiency of sales management.”
Iglesias added that Australia could serve as a platform for QEMETICA’s expansion into other Asia-Pacific markets, while Europe remains a key market for the company. QEMETICA has recently expanded its presence in Germany, France, Italy, the UK and Ireland and plans to continue developing its product portfolio and supporting farmers across the region.
