Koppert Appoints Hans Peters as Chief Executive Officer

29 April 2026, Amsterdam: Koppert has announced the appointment of Hans Peters as its Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2026.

Hans Peters brings extensive international leadership experience, with a strong background in commercial strategy, organisational transformation, and building high-performing leadership teams. He has previously held senior leadership roles at Unilever, NS, and Eneco, and most recently served as CEO of Priva.

Peters has developed a strong connection with the agriculture sector, inspired by its combination of innovation, entrepreneurship, and impact on global food systems.

Paul Koppert, interim CEO, said the company is pleased to welcome Peters, noting that he brings valuable experience and a fresh perspective while understanding the importance of the company’s heritage and long-term vision. He added that as Koppert enters its next phase of development with a stronger focus on execution and acceleration, Peters is well-positioned to lead the business forward alongside its global teams.

Hans Peters said he is honoured to join Koppert at a pivotal time for the company. He noted that Koppert has built a strong foundation over more than 50 years through biological expertise and a commitment to supporting growers worldwide. He added that the company has significant opportunities to strengthen its competitive position while remaining focused on its mission of making agriculture pesticide-free.

Following a two-month transition period, Paul Koppert and Henri Oosthoek will return to their roles on the Supervisory Board.

From July 1, the Executive Board will consist of:

  • Hans Peters – Chief Executive Officer
  • Martin Koppert – Chief Business Officer
  • Siger Spaans – Chief Financial Officer

The appointment marks the next phase of Koppert’s development as the company aims to strengthen its global position, accelerate growth plans, and build on its existing foundation.
