CropLife America Statement Supporting Science-Based Regulatory Decision-Making
17 June 2026, Arlington: CropLife America (CLA) welcomed the recent statement from the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Health and Human Services regarding the role of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in regulatory decision-making:
“CropLife America thanks the Administration for reaffirming the importance of credible, science-based, risk-focused regulatory decision-making. International hazard classifications that fail to fully account for real-world exposure, modern risk assessment practices, and the totality of scientific evidence should not drive U.S. regulatory policy. Americans deserve policies informed by transparent, rigorous scientific reviews conducted by U.S. agencies that set the global standard for risk assessment.”
