CropLife America Appreciates Chairman Boozman Advancing Farm Bill
05 August 2026, Arlington: CropLife America released the following statement after Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.), chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, scheduled an August 6 farm bill markup.
“Chairman Boozman clearly recognizes the needs of American agriculture and the importance of a 5-year farm bill in supporting our farmers and the families across America who rely on healthy, affordable, and abundant food. CropLife America urges all members of the Senate to support American agriculture by helping get a farm bill across the finish line to be signed into law before October 1.
“Farmers need continued access to pesticides approved by the Environmental Protection Agency through its rigorous, science-based regulatory process, to protect crops from weeds, pests, and diseases and to remain globally competitive, and we support the inclusion of several important provisions in this bill which support that goal.”
