CropLife America Urges Senate Agriculture Committee to Oppose Farm Bill Amendments Related to Pesticides

07 August 2026, Arlington: CropLife America released the following statement ahead of the Senate Agriculture Committee’s farm bill markup.

“A strong farm bill starts with policies that support America’s farmers. Farmers need certainty and continued access to the crop protection tools, including pesticides, that help them combat evolving weeds, pests, and diseases.

“As the Senate Agriculture Committee marks up the bill, the focus should be on finding common ground and moving it forward, not further limiting farmers’ access to essential tools. Misleading claims and political grandstanding should not stand in the way of policies that strengthen American agriculture.

“America’s farmers are counting on Congress to deliver a strong farm bill and get it signed into law before Oct. 1.”
