FMC to Launch New Herbicide Keenali for Paddy Weed Control in India

04 August 2026, New Delhi: FMC India is set to launch Keenali Herbicide, powered by Dodhylex™ Active, in India next year, expanding its crop protection portfolio for rice growers. The herbicide is designed to provide effective control of grass weeds in paddy while offering flexibility across different rice cultivation systems and application windows.

Keenali Herbicide is powered by tetflupyrolimet, marketed as Dodhylex™ Active, the only herbicide active ingredient classified under the Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) Group 28. It will be the first new herbicide mode of action introduced in more than three decades, providing growers with a new tool for weed resistance management.
