ADM Announces Investments to Significantly Increase Throughput of Optima, Oklahoma, Grain Elevator
27 July 2026, Oklahoma: ADM (NYSE: ADM), a global leader in innovative solutions from nature, today announced a multimillion-dollar investment to increase throughput at its Optima, Oklahoma, grain elevator.
The investment is designed to help the facility move higher volumes of grain and feed products more efficiently, strengthening the movement of grain and feed products through ADM’s North American supply chain.
By reducing train unload times by roughly 50 percent, these upgrades are expected to significantly increase the facility’s throughput of both corn and corn gluten feed pellets.
In order to achieve this, the project will add:
• 150 cars of additional track capacity
• 1 new rail unloading pit with two hard car diggers
“ADM’s vast North American logistics network connects tens of thousands of farmers to markets, and our Optima facility plays a critical role in connecting grain and feed products from across the country to livestock markets in the Panhandle region,” said Tim McHenry, vice president, North America Grain & Feed. “Optima serves one of the country’s largest livestock-feeding regions, and we continue to see demand increasing, making efficient movement of grain and feed ingredients especially important. These investments will help us continue to set the competitive standard by moving American farmers’ crops more efficiently while strengthening the supply chain that serves livestock producers across the region.”

The project is expected to be completed by mid-year 2027.
