GRDC Farm Business Updates come to Pittsworth, Goondiwindi and Narrabri this July

14 July 2026, AU: Grain growers and advisers across southern Queensland and northern New South Wales will have the opportunity to sharpen their business and people‑management skills at the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Farm Business Updates in Pittsworth, Goondiwindi and Narrabri from 21–23 July 2026.

Unlike traditional agronomy‑focused Updates, the Farm Business Updates place the spotlight on the business, financial and human‑skills capabilities that underpin profitable, resilient grain enterprises. Each program has been shaped around priorities identified directly by regional growers.

GRDC Senior Regional Manager – North, Rebecca Raymond, said the July series would give growers access to practical insights they can apply immediately in their businesses.

“Growers tell us that business capability is just as important as agronomy when it comes to long‑term profitability. These Updates bring together experts who can translate complex topics into clear, usable strategies for farm businesses,” Ms Raymond said.

“What makes these events special is the mix of financial, people‑management and risk‑management content — all grounded in the realities growers are facing right now. It’s a chance to step back from day‑to‑day operations and invest in the skills that strengthen whole‑farm performance.”
