Mahindra Tractors Ramps Up Production of OJA 2130 Tractor Series Ahead of Sowing Season in India
13 March 2026, Mumbai: Mahindra Tractors, part of the Mahindra Group, has announced plans to increase production of the OJA 2130 tractor series in anticipation of demand during the upcoming agricultural season.
The OJA 2130 series is part of the OJA tractor platform and is available in three variants in the 30 HP category: the OJA 2130 PROJA, the OJA 2130 Large Tyre (9.5×18 tyres), and the OJA 2130 Narrow Track with Forward and Reverse (FR) Shuttle.
The company said the tractors are designed for applications in horticulture, vineyards, intercultural farming, sugarcane and cotton cultivation.
The OJA platform is designed to improve performance and user experience. The OJA 2130 series offers a power-to-weight ratio intended to support different farming operations. The tractors are equipped with standard four-wheel drive (4WD) for traction across different field conditions.
The OJA 2130 tractors are powered by a three-cylinder direct-injection engine delivering 83.7 Nm torque along with fuel efficiency and torque back-up for field operations.
The tractors also feature a turning radius and ground clearance intended to support operation in narrow farm spaces and row-crop conditions.
The series includes Electronic Draft and Depth Control (EDDC) and a lift capacity of 950 kg at the hitch point, allowing compatibility with multiple implements. Automation controls are included to support operation during field work.
The tractors are equipped with tilt and telescopic steering and side-shift controls to support operator handling during long working hours. The platform is designed to reduce operational and maintenance costs over time.
Commenting on the development, Parikshit Ghosh, Head – Sales, Marketing and National Business Operations at Mahindra Tractors, said the company expects demand for the OJA 2130 range in segments such as horticulture, sugarcane and cotton.
“The OJA is a powerhouse of energy and we are preparing for increased demand for the OJA 2130 series to address the needs of farmers in segments such as horticulture, sugarcane and cotton. With these tractors, Mahindra continues to expand its presence in the 21–30 HP segment,” he said.
OJA 2130 PROJA Variant
The OJA 2130 PROJA variant is designed for farm operations requiring frequent direction changes. The Forward/Reverse shuttle enables movement between forward and reverse speeds during field tasks.
The tractor includes creeper mode, which supports low-speed operations used in seed sowing and plantation work. The tractor also includes projector lamps for field work during low light conditions and a wet electric PTO for implement operation.
The tractor is powered by the 3DI engine and includes tilt and telescopic steering.
OJA 2130 Narrow Track with FR Shuttle
The OJA 2130 Narrow Track variant is designed for crops requiring narrow row spacing. The tractor has a track width of 914 mm and is equipped with 8×18 tyres.
The tractor features an 8 forward + 8 reverse gearbox with FR shuttle, allowing direction changes during field operations. It also includes tilt and telescopic steering.
OJA 2130 with Large Tyres
The OJA 2130 Large Tyre variant is equipped with 9.5×18 tyres to support traction in different field conditions. The tractor includes an 8 forward + 4 reverse gearbox designed for field and haulage operations.
The OJA tractor range is offered with a six-year warranty and is available through Mahindra tractor dealerships across India.
