ADM, TechnoServe Partner to Reach 15,000 Soybean Farmers in India
28 May 2026, Singapore: ADM has announced a partnership with TechnoServe to expand regenerative agriculture practices among 15,000 soybean farmers in Maharashtra, India under ADM’s Farm Forward Initiative.
The programme, funded through a USD 500,000 investment from ADM Cares, will run for 18 months across the districts of Latur, Dharashiv, Beed and Nanded in Maharashtra. The initiative will focus on soil health improvement, strengthening Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), expanding access to digital advisory tools, and connecting farmers with government support systems related to climate resilience and agriculture.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by both organisations. Under the arrangement, ADM will provide strategic direction and oversight, while TechnoServe will lead field implementation activities.
According to the organisations, the programme aligns with Government of India priorities on sustainable agriculture by promoting practices aimed at improving soil health, water-use efficiency and efficient application of agricultural inputs, including fertilisers and crop protection products. The programme also aims to support farm incomes through improved productivity and cost management.
The project will begin with soil and water assessments using existing government-supported technology platforms. Based on these assessments, farmers will receive agronomic recommendations specific to their fields and cropping conditions. Around 200 demonstration plots will be established over two crop seasons to showcase practices related to soil management, water conservation and farm productivity.
As part of the initiative, eight FPO hubs will also be developed to continue farmer support activities beyond the programme period.
The programme will integrate digital agriculture tools with Maharashtra government initiatives, including the Maha-Agri Tech project. Farmers participating in the programme will have access to satellite-based crop monitoring, drone-enabled applications and advisory platforms such as the Mahavistar app for crop and pest management guidance.
Amrendra Mishra, Managing Director of Ag Services & Oilseeds and Country Manager India at ADM, said the partnership aims to support farming communities through climate resilience measures, soil health improvement, technology-based solutions and better access to agricultural resources.
Joydeep Dutt, Country Director-India at TechnoServe, said the initiative would focus on supporting smallholder soybean farmers in Maharashtra through regenerative farming practices and climate resilience measures
