23 October 2026, Mumbai: Hatsun Agro Product Ltd (HAP), India’s largest private-sector dairy company, reported a 19.36% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to ₹2,897.64 crore for the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹2,427.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company’s profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹115.69 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹109.54 crore in Q2 FY26.
For the half-year ended September 30, 2026, revenue from operations increased to ₹5,988.13 crore from ₹5,017.87 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. PAT stood at ₹249.38 crore, compared with ₹244.73 crore in H1 FY26.
According to the company, the performance was supported by consumer demand across its core product categories, increased processing capacity and direct milk procurement through its expanding farmer network.
Direct Procurement and Consumer Demand Support Growth
Commenting on the results, R.G. Chandramogan, Chairman of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, said the quarterly performance reflected progress across the company’s business, supported by its farmer network, brands and focus on operational efficiency.
He highlighted the role of direct farmer relationships in maintaining milk quality, ensuring product freshness and facilitating timely payments to farmers.
Chandramogan also pointed to challenges facing the dairy industry, including geopolitical uncertainties, El Niño-related factors and inflation in agricultural input costs. Despite these pressures, the company reported stronger EBITDA margins, which it attributed to its brands and consumer-focused business approach.
During the six months ended September 2026, Hatsun Agro Product sold 288 crore consumer packs, averaging approximately 1.58 crore packs per day, according to the chairman. He said the company’s strategy prioritises branded consumer sales over wholesale and bulk sales to strengthen consumer relationships and support long-term growth.
Expansion into New Markets
Hatsun Agro Product is continuing to strengthen its presence in existing markets while expanding into newer markets, including Maharashtra and Odisha. The company is investing in milk procurement, processing and distribution infrastructure to support its expansion plans.
The company also reported encouraging consumer demand for dairy products, including cultured dairy products and ice creams.
Going forward, Hatsun Agro Product said it would focus on expanding its market presence, improving operational efficiency and strengthening relationships with farmers and consumers as it pursues sustainable business growth.
