Brazil’s crop protection industry continues to face significant challenges due to lengthy regulatory review processes for pesticide registrations. Industry stakeholders say prolonged evaluation timelines can disrupt product launches, investment plans, market access strategies, and overall competitiveness in one of the world’s largest agricultural markets.
As a result, an increasing number of agrochemical companies have sought judicial remedies to accelerate or conclude pending registration processes. However, legal experts caution that such actions require careful attention to technical documentation, procedural compliance, and litigation strategy to minimize risks and improve the likelihood of favorable outcomes.
Addressing these issues, Luciana Fabri Mazza, partner at Mazza e Manente de Almeida Advogados, will deliver a presentation titled “Key Legal Aspects of Pesticide Registration Lawsuits in Brazil.” The session will explore the legal framework surrounding registration-related litigation and provide practical insights for companies navigating Brazil’s regulatory environment.
Mazza is a graduate of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and holds a postgraduate specialization in Tax Law and Tax Procedure from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies. Her practice focuses on Public and Business Law, with extensive experience in litigation and legal advisory services.
