Biostimulants Europe 2027 to Examine Innovation, Regulation and Market Growth in Barcelona
21 September 2026, Spain: The European biostimulants industry will convene in Barcelona on January 27–28, 2027, for Biostimulants Europe 2027, with discussions expected to focus on scientific innovation, regulatory developments and the commercial adoption of biological crop inputs.
Organised by ACI, the two-day conference will bring together senior representatives from across the European biostimulants sector as the industry responds to growing pressure on agriculture to improve productivity, enhance resource-use efficiency and strengthen crop resilience under changing environmental conditions.
A key focus of the programme will be the commercial value of biostimulants and the challenges involved in demonstrating measurable benefits to growers. Discussions will examine approaches to improving farm profitability, establishing return on investment and integrating biostimulant products into existing crop management programmes.
The scientific programme will also cover developments in microbial technologies, soil health and climate resilience. Advances in artificial intelligence and predictive agronomy are expected to feature among the topics exploring how new technologies can support product development, crop management and more resilient agricultural systems.
Regulation and market access will form another major component of the conference. Delegates will discuss developments under the European Union Fertilising Products Regulation, along with approaches to efficacy assessment, product claims and the requirements influencing registration and market access for biostimulant products in Europe.
