Case IH launches Next Generation Puma Series With Better Manoeuvrability, Performance And Operator Experience
04 August 2026, Australia: Case IH has unveiled fully redesigned next generation Puma® series tractor models, offering significant improvements in connectivity, operator comfort, fuel efficiency and drivability for Australian and New Zealand farming operations.
Available with a standard wheelbase, the new Puma 155, 165 and 185 horsepower models have been engineered to deliver a better performance through improved transmission efficiency that offers best-in-class fuel consumption.
The new Puma models also introduce the latest in Case IH precision technology and connectivity features. Optional ISOBUS and Tractor Implement Management (TIM) compatibility support seamless integration with modern implements, while the expandable electronic architecture provides the hardware, software and connectivity foundation for future technologies as they become available.
Operators can also access the latest capabilities of Case IH FieldOps™, enabling machine and agronomic data management while unlocking the benefits of Connected Services.

“These next-generation Puma machines have also been independently tested by DLG for fuel consumption, with results of 243 g/kWhr showing best-in-class performance. Combined with the efficiencies of the technology package and extended 750/1,500-hour service intervals, the operational savings and lower cost of ownership are significant for customers.”
Operators can choose between the advanced 3×1 CVXDriveTM continuously variable transmission forimproved efficiency, simplified operation and improved traction, or the ActiveDrive 8 dual-clutch transmission for uninterrupted torque, fast shuttle shifts and smart automations. Both options boost productivity and reduce operator fatigue, helping operators work more efficiently every day.
The Puma design is compact and powerful, providing excellent manoeuvrability with a 20 per cent tighter turning radius. A new front axle ‘saddle’ suspension system improves high-speed transport safety and roll control, while enhanced braking responsiveness, updated linkage and hitch systems, and a revised transmission further improves drivability and implement control.
The updated cab environment has been redesigned to maximise comfort and ease of operation. Improvements include revised interior styling, increased storage, upgraded in-cab displays and easier cab access. The new cab also features a Pro 1200 display, upgraded MultiController Armrest, better cab suspension and an optional semi-active seat designed to enhance comfort during extended operation.
On the outside, the redesigned hood and lighting package improve forward visibility, while new LED fender taillights combine safety with a distinctive visual signature.
The versatility of the latest Puma series makes it well suited to livestock, broadacre and vegetable farming operations, while contractors, municipalities and large fleet operators will also benefit from its performance, efficiency and advanced technology integration.
Earlier this year, the Case IH Puma series received a 2026 Red Dot Design Award in recognition of its bold styling and significantly enhanced cab environment designed to support long working days. The Red Dot Awards are regarded as among the world’s leading industrial design competitions, recognising excellence in design quality, innovation and usability.
Orders for the new Puma 155, 165 and 185 models are now available through Case IH dealers across Australia and New Zealand.
