Ratchet® is a foliar-applied plant signaling solution from Novonesis, powered by LCO Promoter Technology®. Its active ingredient is lipo-chitooligosaccharide (LCO), a signaling molecule designed to activate natural plant processes and enhance the plant’s nutritional capabilities. Novonesis says foliar application can support photosynthetic capacity, stress tolerance, plant health, and yield potential.

Ratchet® is formulated for compatibility with a range of post-emergence herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and nutritional products, providing a broad application window and tank-mix flexibility. In the United States, Novonesis lists it as a liquid product with an application rate of 2–4 oz/acre. A separate Ratchet® for Tea formulation is available in the Asia-Pacific region and is used as a foliar spray to support tea plant growth, leaf quality, and yield potential.
