Taegro® 2 is a microbial foliar biofungicide from Novonesis, formulated with the naturally occurring bacterium Bacillus subtilis var. amyloliquefaciens strain FZB24. In the United States, the product is registered for use on a range of fruit, vegetable, small fruit, berry, cucurbit, root and tuber crops, and ornamentals. It provides broad-spectrum protection against fungal and oomycete diseases, including powdery mildew, Botrytis, downy mildew, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, and Sclerotinia. Novonesis describes Taegro® 2 as having multiple modes of action and suitability for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and resistance-management programs. The U.S. formulation is a powder with a 3-year shelf life, low application rate, zero-day pre-harvest interval, and four-hour restricted-entry interval.
