Corteva’s Vylor Launches Vylor Edge to Invest in Global Agriculture Innovation
Platform to invest in technologies including gene editing, breeding, protein engineering, AI and digital platforms
04 September 2026, Iowa: Vylor, an advanced seed and genetics company that will spin off from Corteva on October 1, 2026, has launched Vylor Edge, an investment platform focused on agricultural technologies.
Vylor Edge will work with start-ups, entrepreneurs, universities and other organisations through equity investments and strategic partnerships. The platform will focus on technologies that can support the development of new products and solutions for agriculture.
“Vylor Edge will partner with the global scientific community to deliver breakthrough innovations that advance global agriculture and mitigate key production challenges,” said Sam Eathington, chief technology officer of Vylor. “Pairing Vylor’s world class expertise with other technology leaders from around the world will help drive innovation and equip farmers with the tools they need to be successful.”
The platform will initially focus on areas aligned with Vylor’s technology priorities. These include gene editing and advanced breeding, protein engineering, artificial intelligence and digital technology platforms.
Vylor Edge will also assess opportunities in other technology areas that could be applied to Vylor’s business and its work with farmers.
“We are excited to collaborate with entrepreneurs who can benefit from the deep expertise of our dedicated team, as well as Vylor’s leading R&D capabilities, global footprint, and go-to-market infrastructure,” said Mat Muller, head of Vylor Edge. “We look forward to supporting the development and commercialization of promising technologies and deliver new innovations to growers.”
The initial Vylor Edge portfolio will include investments and collaborations that were previously part of Corteva Catalyst and are transitioning to Vylor as part of its planned spin-off from Corteva.
Vylor Edge will continue these partnerships while also evaluating new investment opportunities in technologies relevant to global agriculture.
