Vylor, Inc. is the advanced seed and genetics company being spun off from Corteva, with the separation planned for October 1, 2026. The company is being built around elite germplasm, biotechnology, advanced breeding, gene editing, and a global seed production and commercial network. Its portfolio is anchored by established seed brands including Pioneer, Brevant and Hoegemeyer, with a focus on major crops such as corn and soybeans.

Vylor’s innovation pipeline includes advanced corn technologies, multi-disease-resistant corn, next-generation insect control, yield and yield-stability traits, reduced-stature corn, hybrid wheat, gene editing, and next-generation biofuels. The company says its technology base includes more than 4,000 germplasm patents and 2,000 biotechnology patents, providing a foundation for new seed products and licensing opportunities.

In September 2026, Vylor launched Vylor Edge, an investment platform focused on accelerating agricultural innovation through investments and strategic partnerships with start-ups, entrepreneurs, universities and technology companies. Its initial focus areas include gene editing and advanced breeding, protein engineering, artificial intelligence, and digital technology platforms. The platform is also taking forward investments and collaborations previously associated with Corteva Catalyst.

Vylor is expected to be headquartered in Johnston, Iowa, while maintaining a Global Corporate Business Center in Southeast Pennsylvania. The company is positioning its seed and genetics capabilities to expand into additional crops and potentially adjacent agricultural markets.
