07 August 2026, Mumbai: Bayer CropScience Limited (BSE: 506285) announced today its unaudited results for the first quarter (Q1) of Financial Year (FY) 2026-27. For Q1 ended June 30, 2026, the Company reported Revenue from Operations of ₹18,350 million, lower by 4% year-on-year. Profit Before Tax increased by 20% year-on-year to ₹4,021 million.
Simon Wiebusch, Vice Chairman & Managing Director and CEO, Bayer CropScience Limited, commented on the quarterly results, “We delivered a resilient start to FY2026-27, with our performance reflecting disciplined execution amid challenging weather and evolving market conditions. The quarter reflected market dynamics across regions and product offerings. Corn seeds sustained momentum despite an overall decline in acreage, supported by the strength of our hybrids and focused customer engagement. As weather variability, including the potential impact of El Niño conditions, and evolving geopolitical developments continue to shape the operating environment, the company remains focused on proactive channel management, advancing our portfolio-led innovation, and creating sustainable value for farmers and stakeholders.”
Vinit Jindal, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Bayer CropScience Limited, added, “Profit After Tax increased by 15% during the quarter, supported by improved gross margins driven by favorable pricing actions and a stronger product mix. The quarter also benefitted from an income of ₹ 639 million arising from the divestment of marketing rights for formulated products. Other operating expenses were higher compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Improving working capital performance through inventory optimization and collections remains a key area of focus.”
