TrinamiX And Eurofins Agro Testing Showcase New Approach To Feed Analysis At Eurotier 2026

06 November 2026, US: At EuroTier 2026 in Hanover, Germany, Eurofins Agro Testing and trinamiX, a subsidiary of BASF, will present a joint approach that brings high-quality analytics directly into day-to-day farm operations. By combining trinamiX’s mobile near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy with Eurofins Agro Testing’s extensive calibration models, analysis results are available exactly where they are needed: directly on site and within seconds. Visitors are welcome to hear more about this approach at booth A60 in hall 20 from November 10-13, 2026.

Successful feeding starts with knowing what is actually in the feed. However, silage and other feed materials are subject to natural variations, for example due to weather conditions, harvest timing, or ensiling methods. Identifying these (often short-term) changes in feed quality enables more informed decisions, more precise ration adjustments, and greater efficiency on the farm.

More frequent measurements create greater transparency. Greater transparency enables better decisions. This is what the joint approach from trinamiX and Eurofins Agro Testing stands for: “Measure more, manage better”.

Feed advisors in particular benefit from real-time results. They can assess quality parameters directly on site together with their customers and provide evidence-based recommendations. This provides a solid basis for decision-making and strengthens collaboration between advisors and farmers.

Determination of key quality parameters across numerous feed types

The joint solution covers a broad range of feed and raw materials. Users can determine numerous relevant quality and nutritional parameters, including dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, starch, sugars, and energy values for various country-specific evaluation systems.

The applications are available for many feed categories, including fresh forage, silage, hay, cereals, oilseeds, extraction meals, and finished feed. They support both livestock feed and equine feed applications.

Easy analysis with a portable spectrometer and cloud-based evaluation

The solution has been specifically designed for ease of use in everyday agricultural operations. With the portable trinamiX PAL Two spectrometer, users analyse feed samples directly in the field, at the silo, or in the barn. The device captures the sample’s near-infrared (NIR) spectrum and transfers the data to the cloud. The analysis is then performed using Eurofins Agro Testing’s comprehensive calibration models. Results are available within seconds on both the smartphone and the spectrometer display.

All measurement data is automatically stored in the customer portal, where it can be viewed, compared, and documented at any time. In addition, reports and datasets can be exported in various formats and integrated into existing feeding and farm management processes via interfaces.
