Eight UK Agritech Companies Selected for Innovate UK and SVG Ventures US Expansion Programme
04 June 2026, UK: Designed to help innovative UK startups scale into the United States, the programme will provide participating companies with direct access to Silicon Valley networks, strategic partners, investors, growers and leading agrifood corporations across one of the world’s largest agricultural markets.
The programme comes at a time of increasing global demand for technologies that improve agricultural productivity, sustainability and climate resilience, while strengthening collaboration between the UK and US agrifood innovation ecosystems.
The selected companies are developing technologies across livestock and poultry monitoring, precision crop inputs, greenhouse automation, foliar spraying, sustainable natural fibres and next-generation crop protection delivery systems.
“The US market represents a major opportunity for UK agritech innovators, particularly in areas like automation, biologicals and climate-smart agriculture,” said John Hartnett, Founder and CEO of SVG Ventures | THRIVE.
“This programme is designed to help founders build strategic partnerships, validate commercial opportunities and accelerate innovation and adoption with growers, corporates and investors across the US agrifood ecosystem.”
Delivered over nine months, the programme combines virtual support, mentorship and two in-market visits to California. Participating companies will engage with industry leaders, investors and potential customers through curated introductions, market insight sessions and networking opportunities led by SVG Ventures | THRIVE.
The first US visit will take place from 22–26 June 2026 in Silicon Valley and includes participation in the 2026 Salinas Biological Summit. A second visit from 12–16 October 2026 will culminate with the companies pitching at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit.
Each company will also receive support from an Innovate UK Business Growth Specialist, helping participants strengthen international growth strategies, refine value propositions and prepare for long-term expansion into the US market.
Jon Hazell, Innovate UK, Partnership Manager North America & Global Incubator Programme said the partnership with SVG Ventures | THRIVE provides UK companies with a valuable platform to accelerate international growth.
“Innovate UK is committed to helping ambitious UK businesses scale globally and build meaningful international partnerships.
