Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 — 550 hp and the Largest Standard Tractor on the Market
01 August 2026, Germany: The fourth generation Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 is Fendt’s largest and most powerful standard (wheeled) tractor, purpose-engineered around the 500 hp power class. It pairs enormous pulling power with genuine manoeuvrability, flexible ballasting and markedly lower fuel consumption than its predecessor.
Model range: 1040, 1044, 1048 and 1052 Vario, from 426 hp up to 550 hp maximum power with Fendt DynamicPerformance (DP).
Engine: A MAN 6-cylinder, 12.4-litre engine delivers up to 550 hp, boosted by the Fendt DynamicPerformance concept for up to 30 extra hp on demand. Despite a 6.8% average power increase over the previous generation, fuel consumption is lower thanks to the Fendt iD low-speed concept (650–1,700 rpm) and the Concentric Air System cooling fan, which needs up to 40% less drive power.
Standout feature — 360° UltraVision lighting: A completely new lighting concept delivers 120,500 lumens through roof-mounted UltraVision LED spotlights, Tech Rail-mounted lights and optional GroundVision drawbar lighting — a 76% improvement in light output over the previous cab.
